José Ferrer Costa is a medical doctor specialized in Family and Emergency Medicine. He works as a project manager at the Research and Innovation Department of Badalona Serveis Assistencials (BSA), a public healthcare organization in Catalonia. He is also an XR developer, focusing on immersive technologies applied to healthcare. Currently, he is a PhD student in the Health and Psychology Doctoral Programme at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), where his research explores the implementation of extended reality (XR) in clinical settings through a user-centered and evidence-based approach.
